He was celebrating his birthday on a ship when he was shipwrecked. He was rescued by Ariel, but could only remember that the woman who saved him had a beautiful voice. When Ariel, who had been transformed into a human by Ursula appeared but was unable to speak, he did not realize that she was the same person, and he continued to wonder about his rescuer. When he began to fall in love with Ariel anyway, Ursula transformed herself into a woman named Vanessa, and using Ariel's voice and a love spell, convinced him to marry her instead of Ariel. When the shell containing Ariel's voice was smashed, the spell was broken, but not in time to save Ariel from Ursula. Ariel's father, King Triton, exchanged himself for Ariel, but Ursula still tried to kill Ariel and Eric. When Ursula transformed into a giant, Eric rammed her with a ship, impaling and killing her. In Pixar's The Incredibles, Dashiell 'Dash' Parr was the son of Bob Parr (aka Mr. Incredible) and Helen Parr (aka Elastigirl).  Dash's superhero power was super speed. He could run so fast that he could run on water, and up vertical walls or buildings. Dash always wanted to compete in sports, but his parents forbade it because of the ban on Supers. When his father was kidnapped by Syndrome, Dash and his sister Violet stowed away on their mother's plane to help rescue him. After Syndrome was defeated, Dash was allowed to participate in sports as long as he held back and came in second place.

Dashiell is an Anglicized version of the surname De Chiel. In 2014, 123 boys were named Dashiell in the U.S. The character's nickname, Dash, would work great for a speedy pet.

Thumper

In Disney's Bambi, Thumper was a rabbit who was a close friend of Bambi. Thumper was grey, white and tan with a pink nose. Thumper taught Bambi how to ice skate, and the two of them became friends with a skunk named Flower. By the end of the movie, Thumper was married to Miss Bunny and was father to four female bunnies.

In A Bug's Life, Thumper was Hopper's enforcer. His purpose was to intimidate and beat up anyone who did not obey Hopper. Dim was the only one who managed to intimidate Thumper.

Since the name Thumper is more associated with Bambi, I think it would work best with a pet that exudes the comical nature of the rambunctious rabbit.

Melody

In The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, Princess Melody was the daughter of Princess Ariel and Prince Eric. As a baby, she was threatened by Morgana, the sister of Ursula, so her parents built a sea wall around their castle and did everything to keep Melody from the sea. They hid her Atlantica roots from her. Melody couldn't resist the pull of the ocean, however, and she went off in search of answers. Morgana found her, and used Ursula's magic to temporarily turn her into a mermaid. She then tricked Melody into stealing King Triton's trident for her. After she gave the trident to Morgana, she realized her mistake. She turned back into a human while Morgana was focused on making the merfolk bow down to her. Melody was able to snatch the trident from Morgana and return it to King Triton, who imprisoned Morgana in ice. King Triton offered Melody the choice of staying human or coming to live in Atlantica with him. Melody chose to remove the sea wall instead, so they could all be together.

Melody Keep was a character in the Disney comic book series Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird. She was born into a family of wardens who were responsible for protecting supernatural artifacts. Her parents owned a shop called Keep it Weird, and she was a member of the school's lacrosse team. She had a brother named Maxwell.

Sullivan

In Pixar's Monsters, Inc and Monsters University, James P Sullivan, commonly known as Sulley, came from a alternate world where monsters used children's screams to create electricity. Sulley was a member of a well known scaring family. He attended Monsters University, but he did not have a very good work ethic. After an incident involving Mike Wazowski and Dean Hardscrabble, he was kicked out of the scaring program. He joined the Oozma Kappa fraternity with Mike and they competed in the Scare Games in an attempt to get back into the program. Fearing that Mike would make the team lose, Sulley cheated in the last event and they were both expelled. They both got jobs in the mailroom at Monster's, Inc and eventually worked their way up the ladder. Sulley became one of the top scarers in the company. While at Monsters, Inc, He accidentally allowed a human girl, whom he called Boo, into their world. While trying to get Boo home, Sulley and Mike exposed a plot by Randall and the CEO Henry J Waternoose III to use a scream extractor on children to boost production. However, during their time with Boo, they discovered that children's laughter provided much more power than their screams, saving the company.

Sullivan is an Irish surname that means "dark eyes." The Sullivan Clan was based in south-west Ireland, and their motto was "The Steady Hand to Victory."  In 2014, Sullivan was the 463rd most popular name for boys. There were also 49 girls named Sullivan in 2014. I think the nickname Sulley would be a great pet name.

Ursula

In The Little Mermaid, Ursula was a sea witch who wanted revenge on King Triton. She offered his daughter, Ariel, the chance to become human in order to find her true love, Prince Eric. The contract stipulated that in exchange for her voice, Ariel had three days as a human. If Eric gave her true love's kiss within that time, she would permanently become human. If not, she would be bound to Ursula forever. When it appeared that Ariel would succeed, Ursula transformed herself into a woman, and put Eric under a spell, and convinced him that she was his true love, not Ariel. The enchantment was broken, but not in time for Eric to kiss Ariel. Ursula took Ariel prisoner, and King Triton offered himself and his trident in exchange for her freedom. Ariel and Eric fought back, and Eric succeeded in killing Ursula, freeing King Triton and the other merfolk that Ursula cursed over the years. Ursula had a sister named Morgana.

In ABC's Once Upon a Time, Ursula was once like Ariel.. a mermaid with a beautiful singing voice. She was the daughter of Poseidon, god of the sea. Ursula's mother was killed by pirates, and Poseidon used Ursula's voice to lure pirate ships towards dangerous rocks. Ursula tried to run away with the help of Captain Hook, but ultimately he helped Poseidon by using an enchanted shell to take her singing voice. In a rage, Ursula used her father's trident to turn herself into the sea monster she became. Ursula, along with Cruella DeVil, was swept into our world before the first curse when Snow White and Prince Charming took Maleficient's egg so the sorcerer's apprentice could ensure their child would be good. Ursula initially teamed up with Rumpelstiltskin to find the author, but Captain Hook reunited father and daughter and Ursula got her singing voice back.

In Tomorrowland, Ursula Gernsback and her husband owned a store called Blast From the Past.

In the Miyazaki film Kiki's Delivery Service, Ursula was a friend of Kiki. Ursula was a painter who lived in a forest cottage. She invited Kiki to stay with her where she helped her to overcome depression.

In George of the Jungle, Ursula Stanhope was a wealthy heiress who traveled to Africa for one last adventure before her marriage. After being rescued from a lion by George, the two fell in love. She left her fiancé, Lyle, and married George. They had a son, George Jr. In the sequel, Ursula's mother hypnotized her, and convinced her that she had married Lyle, and brought her home. George eventually followed and kissed her, which broke the hypnosis.

Ursula is derived from the Latin word 'ursa', which refers to a female bear. It's usual meaning is 'little bear.' Ursula has never been in the top 1,000 names for girls in the U.S. In 2014 it was only given to 23 girls.

Snowgie

In the Disney short, Frozen Fever, Queen Elsa came down with a cold on Princess Anna's birthday. Every time she sneezed, she inadvertently created tiny snowmen, called Snowgies, instead of boogies. Olaf, Sven and Kristoff rounded them all up and took them to Elsa's ice palace to live with Marshmallow. While I think Snowgie itself would make a cute name for a pet, Olaf named several of them. The names mentioned by Olaf were: Sludge, Slush, Slide, Ansel, Flake, Fridge, Flurry, Powder, Crystal, Squalor, Pat, Sphere, and William.

Violetta

The Disney channel series Violetta was a Spanish-language teen telenovela that revolved around Violetta Castillo, a musically talented teenager. The series began with Violetta and her over protective father returning home to Buenos Aires after living abroad for several years. Violetta inherited her musical abilities from her deceased mother, but her father kept that aspect of her mother a secret.

Violetta is a variation of Violet, which refers to the color and flower of the same name. In 2014, 96 girls in the U.S. were named Violetta.
