In Disney's Big Hero 6, Tadashi Hamada was a student at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, where he created Baymax, a robotic healthcare companion. Tadashi and his younger brother Hiro lived with their aunt Cass following the death of their parents. He attempted to inspire his younger brother to put his talents into school rather than creating fighting robots. When a fire broke out at the university, Tadashi rushed into the burning building, believing that his professor was inside and in danger. Tadashi lost his life in the fire.
Tadashi is a Japanese name that means "loyal, faithful, or true." It does not appear in the Social Security Administration's name database.
