Moana

In Disney's Moana, Moana Waialiki was the daughter of the Chief Tui and Sina, of the Island of Motuni. Her Grandmother Tala encouraged her to follow her heart and take to the sea to find the demigod Maui and restore the heart of Te Fiti. She had a pet pig named Pua and a rooster named Heihei.

Moana is Maori and Hawaiian in origin and it means 'ocean.' In 2015, 18 girls were named Moana in the United States.
