Jay

In Disney's Descendants, Jay was the son of Jafar. Jay lived with his father on the Isle of the Lost with other villains and their children. He was sent to Auradon Prep with Mal, Evie and Carlos. Jay was a thief, but at school found he was also a talented athlete.

Jay is often a nickname for names such as James, Jason and Jacob, but it is also frequently given as a stand alone name. It is sometimes used as a reference to a jaybird. In 2014, Jay was the 372nd most popular name for boys in the U.S. It was also given to 17 girls.
