Cora

In the television series, Once Upon A Time, Cora was an evil sorceress. Cora was also known as the Queen of Hearts for her penchant of pulling people's hearts from their chests, including her own. She was born a miller's daughter, but after being demeaned by the King, she vowed to become more than a miller's daughter. Cora learned magic from Rumplestiltskin, and the two briefly fell in love, but she betrayed him, so she could marry Prince Henry. She was the mother of the Evil Queen, aka, Regina. She killed Snow White's mother so that Regina could marry her father, King Leopold.

In Disney Channel's Sofia the First: The Floating Palace, Princess Cora was a mermaid and the Crown Princess of Merroway Cove. Her mother was Queen Emmaline, and her younger sister was Princess Oona. Cora did not trust humans, and was very protective of Oona.

Cora is a Greek name that means 'maiden'. Cora was ranked at #15 in 1880, the first year of data available in the U.S. It declined continuously until the late 1980s, when it began to climb back up the charts. In 2014 it ranked at #103.
